Electronic Arts, one of the biggest video game publishing companies, has bought GameFly’s cloud streaming service, along with the Israeli team that developed it in an undisclosed deal.

Video game lovers out there will know exactly who EA is. They are one of the biggest video game publishing companies in the world that create popular games such as the FIFA series. Acquiring GameFly’s streaming service marks a big move by the company to enter the cloud gaming service, and of course they do it by acquiring the Israeli team that created it.

It’s one thing to acquire a service that an Israeli development team had made, but it’s another to acquire the actual team that made it and bring them into the company. It shows just how valuable Israeli innovation is.

Israel has recently become a pioneer in the video game industry by developing many cloud streaming services and companies that are dedicated to helping video game streamers.
